If you love minimalist jewelry with an attitude, you are going to love everything that Jessie from {The Plain Canvas} creates! Here are some of my favorite pieces from her gorgeous collection:
I love all of her designs - some are edgy and some are feminine. I really love the Pink Popsicle Gemstone Bracelet because I love the use of the colors {one of my all time favorite color combos} mixed with the gold hardware! I had a little interview with Jessie that I wanted to share with you all. I know you're going to love reading her answers, so check it out:
Tell us a bit about yourself and your family.
My name is Jessie. I am 25 years old, a fashion marketing graduated. I love everything from the 60’s and have a passion for minimalism and Scandinavian design.
When did you start creating and what inspired you to start?
I used to make a lot of small things for my parents and friends when I was a little kid. I wonder if they still keep them. Haha. I started making jewelry because I have unreasonably small wrists. It’s almost impossible to find a bracelet that fits my wrist. So I started making my own bracelets.
Where do you get your ideas...anything in particular that inspires you?
I take my inspiration from the city, the street.
What are your long term goals for your shop?
Honestly, I don’t have any long term goals for my shop at the moment. But I do really want to spend more time designing and creating. I feel like myself when I am making something with my hands. =)
What is your favorite product you have created? Was it hard to part with?
My favorite product is the gold filled spike necklace, called Pretty Tough. It’s simple and edgy. I wear it almost everyday since I made it. It wasn’t really hard to part with. However, the hardest part of my creative process is sourcing. Sometimes, it takes quite a bit of time to find the right components.
What do you do when you're not creating?
My day job is a personal shopper, so I spend most of my time shopping for my clients and networking. Besides that, I love drinking a lot of coffee, soaking in hot bath, watching cheesy Hollywood romantic comedies, going to book shops and listening to a lot of music, my favorite music artists are Blue Six and Lisa Ekdahl. Also, I started a blog last year. I am having a lot of fun blogging and interacting with other bloggers.

If you could go on vacation anywhere, where would you go?
Africa! I love animals, especially lions. One of my biggest dreams is going on a Safari trip.
